MINDSCOURGE | A Solo Aberration Hunter
A downloadable solo game
Your warband is still down there. They are kneeling in the dark, wearing your friends' faces, waiting for you to join them.
You are the last of the Karaccht-Vor — a githyanki warrior who went into an illithid colony with a hundred blades at your back and came out alone. The Resistance sends warriors down one at a time now, because the colony's whisper is a weapon and a group is a louder target. Each delver learns from the last. Each one carries a little more steel, a little more coin, a little more of the network's hard-won strength.
One of them — maybe the tenth, maybe the fortieth — will be the one who walks back out.
MINDSCOURGE is a complete solo dungeon crawler. No Game Master. No group. No prep. The dice and the tables are the colony. You need this book, a d20, a d6, a pencil, and an evening.
Two health bars. Only one of them can be armored.
Hit Points keep your body alive. Sanity keeps you alive — and it bleeds every time you walk into a new chamber, faster the deeper you go. You cannot armor against it and it is brutally hard to restore.
As Sanity falls you slide down the Whisper Track, and every state is worse than the last: your rolls degrade, and the colony comes for you more often. When your body fails, you die clean. When your mind fails, you do not. You kneel, you turn, and the next warrior the Resistance sends down finds you waiting in the dark, wearing your own face.
A bloodline, not a character
One delver rarely conquers the colony. A campaign spans many delvers, and everything the fallen banked — cleared Levels, gold, shards in the vault, a better-armed Resistance Network — arms the ones who follow.
And everything they lost follows too. Lose a mind on Level 2 or deeper and the colony brands your bloodline: the next two delvers descend under a curse. The camp is grim arithmetic. Every warrior the colony claims pays, in some small way, for the one who finally walks back out.
Eight thousand Guardians per Level
Each Level is sealed by a Guardian you build with three d20 rolls — a Base Aberration, a Physical Mutation, and a Psionic Power. Its body is rarely the problem. Its mind is. Learn the counters or lose the delver.
Three ways to break
- The Blade of Vlaakith — hits hardest, breaks fastest. Battle Trance ignores the colony's psionics for one entire fight. Spend it on the Guardian.
- The Astral Stalker — strikes from the place between heartbeats. Evasion once per combat.
- The Pyrrhoc Caster — slowest to kill, hardest to break. The most Sanity, a mind fortified against the worst of it, and a stun button you will bless when a Guardian winds up. Start here.
What's inside

- The Expanded Arsenal: named weapons that fight differently, not just harder
- A full worked example delve, plus a chapter on playing solo well
5e-compatible and d20-based, but it needs no other book and no other person.
The deeper you delve, the louder they whisper — and the louder they whisper, the less of you returns.
